Summary and purpose of the role

The General Manager is a full P&L role and is responsible for achieving the strategic and operative goals of the company including financial targets, market share and supportive targets such as quality, customer satisfaction, innovation, providing a motivating work environment and compliance.

The role reports to the VP, CSP (Crusher Spares) Mid-market Products.

The ideal candidate for this position should have a degree in business management, finance or engineering. A strong background in sales and sales management with a proven record of success.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Develop and implement the strategy for the company to ensure growth and profitability.

Develop and maintain a good relationship with suppliers and business partners.

Provide leadership to the management team and employees of the company; set the example for an open, supportive, fair and consistent culture of leadership and cooperation and strive to establish a motivating work environment.

Set targets for the department mangers aligned with the company goals, control and support the management team to follow-up on targets and ensure achievement.

Establish an active and stable network of key customers, business associations, unions, and all other stakeholders.

Oversee and manage all daily business operations of the company.

Define and execute the sales strategy. Oversee and direct all regional sales, promotions and campaigs.

Build and maintain cooperative relations with senior level stakeholders of clients.

Maintain good relations with suppliers and business partners, develop new capacities in this regard if necessary to ensure the success of supply chain and distribution network.

Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Be part of the CSP Mid-market management team

Educational requirements

Bachelor or University degree in business, finance or engineering. MBA is a plus.

Requirements for the job holder

At least 10 years of professional experience, ideally with at least 5 years of experience as a General manager or Sales manager.

Proven track record in driving growth of business, with plant or operation management experience

Proven people leader, capable of managing and developing an effective multi-function team.

Excellent business understanding, sales and service affinity, sense of cost and customer orientation;

Result-oriented and process-driven, fully compliant to company policy and local regulations.

Presentation and Training Skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese
