We are now seeking a Transport Planner to help us further building the future of food. You will be based in Roeselare, Belgium and report to the Transport and Customs manager.

In this role you will be responsible for organizing the timely delivery of our products. This involves using transport companies to get our freights to their destinations all over Europe. We try to put together these shipments in the most cost-efficient way, without compromising on the service level.

What you will do:
  • The transport planner puts the shipments together so that a minimum number of transports are needed to get everything to the customer. In doing so, the transport planner takes into account the capacity of the warehouse, the availability of trucks and the customer's delivery requirements.
  • In case loads are not transported as planned, the transport planner looks for alternatives. Smooth communication to our customers and great problem-solving skills are the success factors here.
  • Finally, the transport planner is responsible for the (administrative) follow-up of the distribution activities, transport prices, etc. In addition, the transport planner also manages the stock levels in external warehouses. This also includes preparing reports, requesting transport prices and updating the transport management system.

What we appreciate:
  • You enjoyed a bachelor's degree.
  • Recent graduates are also eligible, thorough training is provided.
  • Planning and puzzling are second nature to you and you are communicatively strong.
  • You are fluent in French and English, a basic knowledge of German is a plus.
