Invoice Clerk

Responsibilities:
Stock Control:
  • Coordinating stock control operations with warehouse staff, as well as the sales and finance departments
  • Analyzing supply chain data to ensure the uninterrupted availability of stock
  • Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
  • Evaluating vendors and suppliers offers and negotiating profitable purchase prices
  • Placing and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed
  • Tracking shipments and coordinating internal stock transfers, as well as resolving delays
  • Overseeing stock storage processes, including tagging, boxing, and labelling
  • Maintaining a steady flow of stock from storage to where it is needed
  • Performing regular inventory audits and keeping stock purchasing within budget
  • Maintaining and updating daily shipment records, as well as purchases and pricing reports
Invoicing:
  • Process vehicle license and registration according to standard procedures avoiding any delays or errors which could delay the delivery process
  • Responsible in ensuring that number plates are arranged in line with dealership requirements
  • Ensure all vehicle details are verified
  • Ensure that all registration and licensing documents and invoices are delivered to the bank /licensing department timeously
  • Ensure all relevant forms are obtained in advance from the traffic or licensing department
  • Ensure all deal files are updated in line with dealership requirements
  • Ensure that all licensing and registration legal requirements are adhered to develop and maintain a positive relationship with licensing and traffic department
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a stock controller / invoice clerk in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good negotiation, collaboration, and communication abilities
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Grade 12 + a tertiary qualification will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of Automate/Evolve/Kerridge or Autoline is essential
  • Must be able to handle an average of 100 units per month
